The DoubleTree by Hilton Mesa is looking for a motivated, dependable, and skilled PM Prep/Line Cook to join our culinary team!

We are seeking an individual who takes pride in their work, thrives in a fast-paced kitchen, and is passionate about preparing quality food. This position plays an essential role in supporting our restaurant, bar, banquet operations, and overall guest dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, presentation standards, and portion specifications.

• Complete daily food preparation, including chopping, portioning, marinating, and preparing ingredients for dinner service and upcoming shifts.

• Execute food orders efficiently and consistently during restaurant and bar service.

• Assist with banquet preparation and execution as business demands.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked workstation.

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and proper food storage procedures.

• Monitor product freshness, quality, and proper rotation using FIFO standards.

• Work closely with fellow cooks, servers, and management to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

• Assist with closing duties, including cleaning, labeling, storing products, and preparing the kitchen for the following day.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a hotel or full-service restaurant.

• Working knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety practices.

• Ability to multitask and maintain quality under pressure.

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management.

• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

• Current Food Handler's certification or ability to obtain one.

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
